LAEM CHABANG INTERNATIONAL TERMINAL COMPANY LIMITED

CORPORATE HISTORY AND DEVELOPMENT

Laem Chabang International Terminal Company Limited or LCIT, the sea port terminal operator of B5 and C3 at Laem Chabang Port, was granted a concession by the Ports Authority of Thailand to “construct, operate and manage” Container Terminal B5 at Laem Chabang Port for 30 years, and become fully operational in March, 1998. Subsequently, in April, 2003, the Company was awarded another concession to operate and manage Container Terminal C3 at Laem Chabang Port.

LCIT is the joint venture among Thai and foreign Corporate entities which have world class experiences in the cargo transport business, comprising

OPERATION

Container Terminals provide services in loading and discharging cargo containers for international cargo vessels, arranging and delivering them in full operation.

HIGHLIGHTS

Two LCIT ports were well designed with state-of-the-art applications to catch future extension. The total berth length is 900 metres, able to accommodate up to 1,500,000 TEUs a year. Loading facilities and 9 quay cranes provide services to the vessels of 22 rows width, and the Twin Lift model Spreader capable lifting up two 20-foot cargo containers simultaneously at a time. By these constituent factors, LCIT becomes the high quality cargo container service provider over 30 TEUs per hour and per crane to catch up big container vessels. The clients have consequently confidence in efficiently flexible berthing services at the port.
